Community Sale for Clean Water...
Active:Water thrives off of the premise of self-sacrifice for the sake of others, especially for assisting with providing others with the most basic of needs. Through this project of lightly shedding our abundance, participants will be helping to provide safe drinking water to needy communities across the world. With this program we ask Team Active:Water participants to commit to communicating the urgency for sustainable clean water solutions, sanitation, and adequate health care to their family, friends, and to their community.
The idea is simple:

Participants can go it alone or better yet, recruit several friends, neighbors, their school, or their church to contribute their excess items as well as help manage the event and make it a community yard sale!

Find a popular outdoor host site within your school, church, neighborhood, or local business that is easily visible to set up w/ permission.

Make up large posters to promote your sale.

For example, include "1 = One Year of Clean Water for an African"

and "Community Sale For Clean Water".

Hand out Active:Water brochures or flyers to each patron

Be familiar with the FAQ section of Active:Water's site so you can carry on conversations with individuals regarding the water crisis.
