Team Active:Water - Car Wash for Clean Water
This particular campaign is designed for anyone with a few hours to spare, some good friends, some old towels, and a little ambition. The Car Wash for Clean Water Campaign is a straightforward awareness event that is designed to be done any place that will give participants permission to set up (neighborhood driveway, church parking lot, local business parking lot, etc).
The idea is simple:
Recruit several friends who aren't afraid of a little elbow grease, getting soaked or having fun.
Find a popular outdoor host site within your school, church, or local business that is easily visible to set up
Make up large posters to promote your donations-based car wash for clean water.
Example 1: "Car Wash...Donations Welcome"
Example 2: "$1 = One Year of Clean Water for an African"
Have some really outgoing friends hold signs while the rest of you scrub away!
Hand out brochures for each patron to read as they await the completion of their car wash.
Collect contributions and mail to Active:Water
