On Day of Event - Late registration at event closes at 8:50AM.
Packet pickup for pre-registrants will take place at Gazelle Sports on Friday, September 30th between 3pm and 8pm. Gazelle Sports is located at 214 S. Kalamazoo Mall in Downtown Kalamazoo and can be reached at 269-342-5996 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting 269-342-5996 end_of_the_skype_highlighting. On-site late registration will begin at 7:30AM at the Celery Flats Grain Elevator Building. (If you are coming from Westnedge to Garden Lane, race course, parking and overflow parking will be on the left side of the park. Registration and packet pickup will also be held at Grain Elevator building on the right side of the park.)
*Race t-shirts are only guaranteed for pick up on the day of the event to participants who register by September 15th. Later registrants will recieve their t-shirts in the order of first come/first serve (based on registration date) until supplies run out. Remaining race t-shirts will be ordered after the event and available for pickup or shipment 3 weeks after the event. Children's t-shirts are short sleeve and based on youth sizes. Adult shirts are longsleeve with unisex sizes.
Brief Description:
The purpose of this fun, yet competitive event is to bring two passions together, running and saving lives! Built in to each participant's registration cost is a donation that will provide safe drinking water, improved sanitation, and hygiene training to an African through our clean water projects in Zambia.

Full Description: This event day will begin at 7:00AM with on site registration for those who are not previously registered online. First in the lineup of events is our One Mile Kid's Fun Run starting at 8:30AM. You can register your child for the discounted "event only" rate, or for participation in the event and a long sleeve race t-shirt! There will be prizes for the top 3 runners.
The 5K Run/Walk for Water will kick off at 9:00am. Healthy competition is welcome! This event is for runners of all levels and ages and the 3.1 mile course is scenic, smooth, and paved. It's a wonderful opportunity to feel your best and enjoy your community, while giving back to the world in a very tangible way. Our event is "stroller-friendly" so you can even bring out the little ones! All participants will recieve an ActiveWater long sleeve race t-shirt for registering and the top 3 runners in each of the men's and women's class will be rewarded with a medal and an additional merchandise gift from ActiveWater. The runners who place first in the men's and women's category will recieve a gift certificate to Gazelle Sports!
If you love 5K Walks and are interested in having more than just a fun walk, we invite you to "go the extra mile" and join us in making a big statement to our community through our Jerry Can Challenge! You can do so by bringing your own bucket, pail, or empty milk jug to carry water through the course and help us recreate a "water walk" in Africa. This event will take place at 9:05AM, just moments after our runners and competitive walkers launch. We'll be filling our pails with water at the canoe launch so be ready to be amazed at what our African friends do each and every day to retrieve water from polluted sources!
